Send
After you've created your user profile and a recipient list, you can send an Interac e-Transfer.
How to send
1. Login to Online Banking and go the Transfer Money tab.
2. Select Send e-Transfer from the Shortcuts menu.
3. Enter the amount of money you wish to send and the account from which to withdraw the funds.
4. Select a recipient from your recipient list.
5. You can enter a short message for the recipient. This message should not contain the answer to the security question.
6. Click Continue to complete the transaction.
Important information

A non-refundable service fee of $1.75 will be charged for sending an Interac e-Transfer. The recipient's bank or credit union may also charge a small service fee to receive the money.

It can take 30 minutes or more for the recipient to receive an email informing them that you have sent them money.

If the recipient does not deposit the Interac e-Transfer, you can send them an email reminder on the Pending e-Transfers page.

If the money you have sent has not been deposited by the recipient within 30 days it will be automatically deposited back into your account.

Once money has been deposited by the recipient, the Interac e-Transfer cannot be cancelled. Be sure to verify the email address and/or mobile phone number before you send the transfer.

Keep the security question answer secret so that only you and the recipient know the answer.

The daily maximum transfer amount is $3,000. The weekly maximum is $10,000 and the monthly maximum is $20,000.
How to cancel an Interac e-Transfer
You can cancel an Interac e-Transfer before it has been deposited by the recipient.
1. Click Pending e-Transfers to view an Interac e-Transfer that you have sent but has not yet been deposited.
2. Click Cancel to cancel the transfer and to deposit the money back into your account.
3. Note that there is a $3.75 service charge should you cancel a transfer.
